Port In: 11001
Port Out: 11000
Make sure that 'Receive OSC' and 'Send OSC' are both checked.
Step 3
Add a Button Matrix to your Layout. A Button Matrix is a controller that contains a grid of buttons.
Step 4
Add a Button to your Layout. In the Button settings, select 'MatrixB1 - Update using Ableton' in the Button Function dropdown.
Step 5
Un-check the "Edit Controllers' checkbox so that you are no longer editing your Layout.
Step 6
Launch Ableton and load a Live Set.
Step 7
Click the button that you added to your Layout. DAWSound will then update the Button Matrix on your Layout so that it matches the the Ableton session.
Step 8
Make sure that the checkbox 'Keep DAWSound and Ableton sync'd' is checked on the Ableton tab in DAWSound. You can now launch clips and scenes using DAWSound.
Tips:
Once you've updated the Button Matrix, you can remove the button or you can change the button's function to 'MatrixB1 - Start sync'ing with Ableton'. By doing that you can sync DAWSound and Ableton directly from the Layout.
Once you've updated the Button Matrix, you can save the Layout as a template. That way, you don't have to update the Button Matrix every time. Doing this also allows you to create a separate Layout for each Ableton song.
You can also add header rows to the Button Matrix. Click on the Ableton tab in DAWSound and select the header rows that you want (SOLO, MUTE, RECORD, STOP and SELECT). You can also place these rows in any order that you want.
If you find that the cells (buttons) in the Button Matrix are too small, you can edit the Button Matrix and manually set the width and height of the cells. If you make the cells bigger, then the Button Matrix will automatically display scroll bars, that way you'll always be able to see the entire session.
You can add faders and knobs to control the volume in the selected track. You can also add a VU meter to show the meter of the selected track. To do this, simply check the 'This controller will control/show the volume on selected track (Ableton only)' checkbox on the OSC parameter screen.
